Restrict a calendar

If a calendar contains sensitive information, or shouldn't be edited by just anyone, you can restrict viewing or editing of it. Restrictions in Team Calendars work in much the same way they do in Confluence, allowing you to restrict content to single users or Confluence group.

Calendars also respect the view permissions of their related space. When you create a calendar in a space, or add a related space to an existing calendar, only people with permission to view the space will be able to see the calendar.

Apply restrictions to a calendar

  1. From the sidebar, open the Appsmenu and choose Calendars.

  2. Choose  to the right of a calendar's name, then choose Restrictions.

  3. In the dropdown, select Only specific people can view or edit.

  4. Input a user name or group name.

  5. From the dropdown, select Can view or Can edit.

  6. Select Add.

  7. Select Apply.

You can restrict viewing or editing of a Calendar by a person or group.

If you restrict editing of a calendar, any user not allowed to edit the calendar won't be able to add events to the calendar, edit any existing events, or change restrictions for the calendar.
